Magic eraser

Magic erasers are my best friend. They are an amazing product that seriously work on almost anything. However as much as I love this product I think it it way over priced. Currently Walmart has a four pack for 8.99 on sale. I hate paying this much because as much as I love them I go through them so fast that I don't feel that is really worth almost ten dollars. That is until a couple months ago when I was reading an article about them telling how they worked. Apparently there is no special chemical ob them that makes them work the way they do. It is a product called melamine foam. Never heard of it don't feel bad I hadn't either until I read about this product, but after reading it I was very interested. You can but these "sponges" in all different sizes and quantity on sites such as Amazon. I've seen the for as cheap as 100 for under $8 for some of the thinner ones. That's right 100 for cheaper that what you would normally at for four now that is what I call a good deal!

I hope everyone enjoyed the post

DIY bleach pen

Hey everyone,

Today I wanted to talk to you about a house hold must bleach pens. I love these things. They are great for everything from tile to laundry. As much as I love these things I always forget to pick them up at the store not to mention they aren't the cheapest thing considering they don't last as long as one would hope. So I found a recipe that is cheaper and also uses things you already have around the house, and it works great.

Supplies:
2T cornstarch
1C water
Saucepan
5-6T bleach
Squirt bottle (I used reusable condiment bottle)

Directions:
First mix your water and cornstarch until dissolved. Next you will want to put the mixture in your sauce pan continue stirring and heat until boiling. At this point your mixture should be thick this is normal and what you want. Then you will want to let this cool completely! After this has cooled you can add your bleach. If it is thicker or thinner than you desire you can add water/cornstarch until you get the desired consistency. Finally just put it in your squirt bottle and you are ready to clean, craft, or whatever else you can think to use it for.

Let me know you you have any questions or have anything you want me to try

Until net time,
Bri

Spring has sprung

Spring is officially upon us!! I for one am so ready for it. I was definitely getting tired of the cold weather. So today I was going to share one of my favorite thing to do year round but especially during the spring and summer since its shorts and dress weather. About six months ago I discovered the magic of coconut oil. Seriously this stuff is amazing if you haven't seen all the benefits of it I suggest you seriously look into it you will be shocked! I literally use it for at least one thing everyday. However one of my favorite things to use it for is to make a scrub. I included my favorite way to do it below.

Ingredients:
Small bowl
Spoon
Coconut oil
Sugar/stevia (any sugar substitute should work)

Recipe:
First you need to take a spoon full of your favorite coconut oil (I found some at Aldi it was a little cheaper than Walmart and it was still organic) keep in mind what you make you should try to use all at once so you don't need much. Next put it in a microwave safe bowl for about 20-30 seconds (note:you don't want to get it to hot or it will melt the sugar. Get it just hot enough to make it a little softer). Add some sugar I never really measure this out just add a spoon full or two. That's it your done just use it and your skin will love you!

I really hope you like this it's definitely a cheaper alternative to buying scrubs not to mention you know exactly what is going into it!

I hope everyone has a great Easter if you have any questions or anything you would like for me to try please comment and let me know.

Until next time,
Brianna

Turning bar soap into body wash

Hey everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since my last post I've been slacking. So today I am going to share with you one of the best finds I have had yet and I am super excited to do so. Everyone loves body wash however I always hear of people not wanting to pay for it because of the cost. I completley understand where they are coming from, but now they don't have to say that anymore. Here is how it's done.

Materials:
3 bars of Dove soap ( dove works the best other brands seem to come out thicker you can always adjust the water ratio if you choose to do another brand)
6 cups of water
Cheese grater
Pot
Bowl
Containers to put soap in (I use old soap or shampoo bottles)

How it's done:
The first and hardest part is grating up all of the bars of soap. I honestly hate this part, but I promise it's worth it! Next place the shavings in your water on the stove. You should hear on medium until your soap dissolves (this can take a little bit). Next pour it in a bowl until it is cool enough to pour in a bottle. Note that the soap will thicken as it cools. Then all you have to do is pour it in your bottles. This makes roughly 48oz.

I hope everyone enjoys the post please let me know if you have any questions or have anythingn you would like me to cover!

Until next time,
Bri
